Avril Goes and Makes Things So Translated
I have heard from a secret source that if you follow this link you'll be lead to another page that may or may not have a link to a version of a new Avril Lavigne song in which she sings the chorus in Mandarin. If you listen to this song, you might find that her pronunciation is terrible, which is a shame because she has such a nice voice.
Some of my students dig her. I wonder if they still will after they hear this song. Apparently she's recorded versions in several languages. I guess she's grown tired of her global popularity and wants to return to her core Canadian audience. As long as she keeps her head down and doesn't make it into the major metropolitan areas where people speak those languages, she might be ok.

i love avril lavigne. i don't know if you are privy to this since you lived on the slightly less-cool third floor of cardinal, but my door was usually decorated with Avril clippings from Spin magazine reporting on her silly antics.
